If you run a lot of AI experiments like I do, you may have heard of MCP. Short for Model Context Protocol, MCP is a standardized “language” that lets AI tools talk to any app that supports MCP. Think of it like a USB-C adapter--any device with the right port can connect.

But if every app has their own MCP, then every MCP has its own pricing structure, usage limits and more. **What we need is “the plug”**-- the hub at the center of modern marketing operations.

For enterprise, Hubspot and Salesforce have made tremendous strides. **For low-code startups and SMBs, Zapier just made their play.**

On September 18th, they announced that the Zapier MCP would be free to all users, allowing businesses of any size to connect over 8000 applications. Once connected, simply tell your AI platform what to do next.

In an instant, Zapier became the routing hub that makes it happen.

Zapier’s API has allowed for powerful automations for a while now. And Wordpress has been able to send to Social Media upon publication for decades. What’s missing is the ability to control it all, using plain language, without complicated setup processes. And because Zapier’s UI already handles connection troubleshooting, reports errors, manages spend and provides version control, keeping AI under your command as its usage expands within your organization has never been easier.

› Create your Zapier MCP and connect the tools listed above.

› Tell Claude to write you a blog post based on topic gaps on your Notion Content Calendar, and two Linkedin posts to promote it. 

› Have it create a draft in Wordpress and update your content calendar, with the text for the Linkedin posts contained in their Notion items. Then have it email you for review.

› Next, create a Zap connecting Notion to Buffer/Wordpress so that, once you’ve made content edits and marked content calendar items Published, they publish automatically.
